It tells the story of the Warsaw ghetto clandestine group Oyneg Shabes, formed by historian Emanuel Ringelblum and consisting of scientists, journalists and community leaders. This group has assembled and preserved one of the most significant Holocaust archives, reflecting the history of this ghetto and the fate of the Polish Jews.

In commemoration of the aforementioned Remembrance Day, the movie has been screened in over 350 locations in 55 countries. To immortalize the 1945 liberation of the Auschwitz Concentration and Extermination Camp, the UN General Assembly in 2005 has proclaimed January 27 as the International Day of Commemoration in Memory of the Victims of Holocaust.
